    • WINDOW WARRANTY

    TWINS windows are warranted against such defects in material and workmanship that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, corroding and fading of the window frame sash members for a period of FORTY (40) YEARS from the date of installation. "This Limited Warranty on the vinyl frame and/or sash members shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically (see section on Maintenance Cleaning). This Limited Warranty shall be null and void if harmful solvents are used to clean the vinyl frames and/or sash members or if any frame or sash member is painted or coated in any way except where the windows were ordered and supplied by TWINS WINDOWS with a painted exterior surface. Painted windows carry a 10 year warranty on vinyl sash and frame members.

    TWINS WINDOWS warrants that the insulating glass units supplied in ORAN windows will conform to IGMAC specifications and that under normal conditions there will not be an obvious obstruction of vision which is the result of film formation or dust collection between the interior glass surfaces for a period of TWENTY (20) YEARS from the date of installation.

    TWINS WINDOWS warrants that all hardware components, excluding sash balances and Truth hardware, shall remain in good operational condition for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of installation.

    TWINS WINDOWS warrants that all Truth, Casement and Awning hardware and Sash Balances used in Double and Singe Hung Windows shall remain in good operational condition for the LIFE of the window.

    GENERAL CONDITIONS

    This Limited, Non- Prorated Warranty must be validated by having the attached Registration Certificate completed by the Dealer/Contractor and the Original Purchaser and received by TWINS no later that thirty (30) days after the window installation is completed.

    The Limited Warranty stipulated in this document is the only warranty applicable to the windows manufactured by TWINS and is granted in lieu of any warranties otherwise implied by law or equity and no such warranties shall apply to TWINS Limited Warranty.

    1. PRODUCT USE

    This Limited Warranty applies only in respect of products used strictly for the 
    purpose for which they were intended.

    2. LIMITED WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

    TWINS liability is limited solely and exclusively to repair or replacement, at the option of TWINS, and under no circumstances will TWINS be liable for incidental or consequential charges such as, but not limited to, labour costs for any purpose, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or property or other expenses.

    3. REPLACEMENT PARTS OR REPAIRS

    TWINS reserves the right to discontinue or change any window style or line as currently manufactured. If TWINS determines to make a 
    replacement under the terms of this Limited Warranty and an exact replacement part is not available, TWINS reserves the right to substitute a part or parts of equal quality at its sole option.

    EXCLUSIONS FROM THE LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE

    The following are excluded from coverage under this Limited Warranty.

    A. Exposure to air pollutants and normal atmosphere conditions may cause all vinyl surfaces 
    to gradually fade. chalk or suffer an accumulation of surface dirt and/or stains. These are 
    normal occurrences and are not covered under TWINS Limited Warranty. Windows supplied with a painted finish from TWINS arc covered under a separate paint finish warranty against fading, peeling and chipping, a copy of which may be obtained from the Dealer/Contractor or directly from TWINS
    B.     Any defect, malfunction or failure to perform, which has occurred because of unreasonable 
    use or handling, improper application or failure to perform reasonable or necessary maintenance.
    C.     Any damage to the windows caused by settlement or structural defects of the building in 
    which they arc installed.
    D.     Any damage caused by wind, hail, lightning or other acts of God, intentional acts, accidents, negligence or exposure to harmful chemicals or pollutants.
    E. BROKEN GLASS OR TORN SCREENING FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER.
    F. Damage caused by improper handling or installation.
    G. Any window which has been repaired, modified or attempted to have been repaired or 
    modified by any person other than a duly authorized representative of TWINS

    CONDENSATION ON WINDOWS, WHICH MAY OCCUR AS THE NATURAL RESULT OF HUMIDITY IN A HOUSE OR BUILDING AND THE CHANGES IN OUTSIDE/INSIDE TEMPERATURE, DOES NOT INDICATE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND IS NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. A BOOKLET ON WINDOW CONDENSATION IS AVAILABLE FROM YOUR DEALER/CONTRACTOR OR DIRECTLY FROM TWINS

    EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY

    This Limited Warranty will take effect from the date of certification by the Dealer/Contractor 
    that the installation at the premises identified on the face of this Limited Warranty has been 
    completed. The certification that the work has been completed to the customers satisfaction 
    must be submitted to the Dealer/Contractor no later than TEN (10) days after installation.

    PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS OF REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY

    In the event that TWINS obligation under this Limited Warranty is sought, the Owner must notify the Dealer/Contractor in writing within THIRTY (30) days after the defect has first appeared. Such notification must contain the following information:

    A) Name and address of the Property Owner.
    B) Certificate Number
    C) Date of installation
    D) A brief description of the defect for which warranty is requested.

    The Dealer/Contractor will forward the information to TWINS and the Property Owner will be contacted by TWINS

    HOW TO TRANSFER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY

    This Limited Warranty is transferable by the original property owner to subsequent owners of 
    the property, provided that TWINS, receives in writing notice of transfer of title within THIRTY (30) DAYS after the transfer of ownership. Failure to do so will relieve TWINS of any further obligation under this Limited Warranty.

    In the event of a transfer of this Limited Warranty, the Warranty period shall be limited to the 
    remaining period of the unexpected portion of the effective time period from the original date of installation.

    VINYL SHUTTERS WARRANTY

    EXCLUSIONS FROM LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE

    The following are excluded from coverage under this Limited Warranty:

    A. Exposure to air pollutants and normal atmosphere conditions may cause all vinyl surfaces to gradually suffer an accumulation of surface dirt or stains. These are normal occurrences and are not covered under TWINS' Limited Warranty.
    B. Any defect, malfunction or failure to perform which has occurred because of unreasonable use, improper application or failure to perform reasonable or necessary maintenance.
    C. Any damage to the shutters or components of the shutters caused by settlement or structural defects of the building in which they are installed.
    D. Any damage caused by wind, hail, lightning or other acts of God, intentional acts, accidents, negligence or exposure to harmful chemicals or pollutants.
    E. Damage caused by improper handling or installing.
    F. Any shutter which has been repaired or modified or attempted to have been repaired or modified by any person other than a duly authorized representative of TWINS SHUTTERS.

    EFFECTIVE DATE OF LIMITED WARRANTY

    This Limited Warranty will take effect from the date of certification by TWINS' Dealer/Distributor that the installation of the shutters has been completed at the premises identified in the warranty certificate. The certification of completion must be submitted to the TWINS no later than TEN (10) DAYS from the date of installation.

    MAINTENANCE & CLEANING

    The surfaces of the TWINS SHUTTER, will over time collect a layer of surface dust. Normal dusting with a damp cloth will remove this accumulation of surface dust.

    If you wish to do a more thorough cleaning of the shutters the following procedures should be followed. Vinyl - A mild solution of household liquid cleaner such as dishwashing detergent may be used. For stubborn stains, cleaner such as Fantastic or VIM may be used.  Caution: Do not use harsh abrasives on vinyl.

    PROCEDURE AND CONDITIONS OF LIMITED WARRANTY REMEDY

    In this event that TWINS' obligation under this Limited Warranty is sought, the Owner must notify the Dealer/Distributor in writing within thirty (30) days after the defect has first appeared. Such notification must contain the following:

    a) Name and address of the Owner.
    b) Date of installation.
    c) A brief description of the defect for which warranty is requested.

    Upon receipt of this information, the Dealer/Distributor will notify the Owner of his share of prorated costs (where such is applicable), in accordance with Proration Schedule. No repair or replacement parts will be provided until TWINS Dealer/Distributor has received the Owner's payment for this share of the prorated costs. The Dealer/Distributor will provide repair or replacement parts to the owner upon receipt of the Owner's payment.

    PRORATION SCHEDULE

    The percentage of warranty repair or replacement material costs to be shared by the Owner and TWINS, as stipulated on the face of this Limited Warranty Certificate as follows:

    LIFETIME WARRANTY ON SHUTTER FRAME AND SHUTTER PANEL

    Shutter are warranted against such defects in material that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, corroding and fading of the shutters frame or panel members for a period of TWENTY-FIVE (25) YEARS from the date of installation.

    This Limited Warranty on the Vinyl frame and Vinyl panel members shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically (see section of this Limited Warranty entitled "Maintenance Cleaning")

    5 YEAR WARRANTY HARDWARE

    TWINSwarrants that the hardware by having remain in good operational condition for a period of FIVE (5) YEARS from the date of installation.

    GENERAL CONDITIONS

    This Limited Warranty must be validated by having the attached Registration Certificate completed by the contractor and the original Purchaser and received by TWINS SHUTTERS no later than thirty (30) days of the completed installation in order for the Property Owner to be entitled to this Limited Warranty.

    The Limited Warranty stipulated in this document is the only warranty applicable to the TWINS SHUTTERS and is granted in Lieu of any warranties otherwise implied by law or equity and no such warranties shall apply to TWINS SHUTTERS Limited Warranty.
